Tiger Woods Dumps Golf Caddie Steve Williams

If change is what one needs to create a turnaround in one’s fortune, then dumping Steve Williams may be inevitable. However, many would agree that it is debatable whether Tiger Wood's caddie, golf coach, etc the underlying causes for his dismay performance?

Certainly obvious is that business relationships including those in sports are pretty fragile. In Steve’s case, even though he has been with Tiger Woods for 12 years and 250 tournaments that brought about 72 wins, the professional relationship can be discarded overnight.

Anyway, as they used to say, “life goes on…Steve will soon get his new boss.” Meanwhile, let’s give him our best wishes.

Tiger On The Prowl

Did one local dailies put it aptly when the news headline said, “Tiger Back In the Prowl” ? The papers were referring to Woods optimism after charging one shot clear in the first round of Chevron World Golf Challenge, as he continues to seek a break-through.

When asked on Thursday if he is back to his best after a series of dismay performance since his private life got the world’s attention, Woods replied: “It’s a process.”

Woods, whose last tournament victory was at the 2009 Australian Masters, further added, “I was putting together streaks of holes – two, three, five holes of this – and then I’d lose it for a little bit. I needed to get to a full round and then eventually a full tournament. Today was a full round, so that’s a good start.”

Let’s hope he gets his first golf victory before year 2010 comes to a close ;-)
